High Precision USB Variable Attenuators
The High Precision Series VOA is an ideal variable optical attenuator providing near-perfect performances with a USB interface and user-friendly GUI. With a built-in position sensor, once the VOA’s attenuation value is set, it will remain at the value regardless of environmental variations. This series of VOAs overcomes the instability and drift issues associated with conventional VOAs. The Fiber to Fiber, direct coupling technology eliminates wavelength dependence issues, so the VOA spectral characters are the same as the fiber intrinsic transmission characters. We produce three types to cover most application scenarios. The feedback MEMS VOAs feature no-gap low. It is available with 125 μm outer diameter fibers and a 0-5V analog control interface for OEM applications. The motor-driven series eliminates mode field distortion and accommodates large mode fiber up to 2 mm in diameter. We further produce high-speed feedback control VOAs with a faster response time of about 1 μs.
