The UOIF Series Ultra-Mini Free-Space Optical Isolator features an exceptionally compact design with a housing diameter of just 11 mm. Operating as a unidirectional optical valve, it efficiently transmits light in the forward direction while suppressing back-reflections and backscattered light in the reverse direction, protecting sensitive laser sources from destabilizing optical feedback and potential damage. Each isolator incorporates a high-quality TGG (Terbium Gallium Garnet) Faraday rotator crystal, offering low insertion loss, high optical-power handling capability, and reliable performance in demanding laser applications. The UOIF Series provides flexible polarization optics configurations, including high-power fused-silica polarizing beam splitter (PBS) cubes for demanding power applications and ultra-compact thin-film PolaCore polarizer elements for space-constrained designs. An optional adjustable waveplate enables fine-tuning of the peak isolation wavelength through rotational adjustment, followed by secure fixation for long-term stability.
